CompetitionsThere’ll be two competitions at Epic-con. The first is an art competition. The rules are: Keep It Sensible! No five foot tall sculptures, etc, please! Submissions can be in any medium. The second is our Torture Room. In this Room will be shown the most awful, horrific, eyeball-meltingly awful films known to man. Mortal Kombat 2, anyone? The Tree 2: Root of All Evil? Anything with Stephen Segal in it? The Torture Room will run from 11am - 6pm on Saturday, and 10:15am - 4pm on Sunday. The person to stay the longest in the Room will get a much-deserved prize. RPGsThe Assassin Did It - a D&D 3.5 game for four players. You'd be surprised how little thanks you get for saving the Kingdom from the forces of evil. You grow up hearing stories of Heroes slaying dragons and getting half the treasury and the King's daughter as a reward. These days all you get is a 200gp fine from the Chancellor from the environment. Things are looking up though. Apparently the Earl of Dyvers has decided that having a group of real life adventurers to one of his murder mystery weekend would be cracking good fun. Play you're cards right and this could be your ticket into high society. Bosworth by William Shakespeare - A Shakesperian style Cortex system game for 4-6 players Sir Malcom of Shadow is a veteran of the Yorkists side of the War of the Roses. Left with nothing after the Battle of Bosworth Field, Malcolm buys a cargo vessel and assembles a crew in order to live free on the waves, away from any interference from the new Tudor regime. Joining him are rudderman Washburne and his Moor wife, a Mercenary from Scotland, a travelling whore, a maidservent and a monk. Also becoming crew members are a Renegade surgean from London and his crazed sister cursed with ''the sight.'' The crew of the Bosworth travel the seas of England just trying to get by avoiding the Tudor navy and the crazed Irish Pirate vessals that prey on the land. Zombies! at the door - For 4-6 players The barricaded mall. A remote space station. The trenches of WW1. The plucky survivor. The dumb blond. The grizzly war veteran Wherever you want to play, whoever you want to play as. This unique RPG allows players to create thier own Zombie movie right down to the setting characters and action. But all of you may not survive the undead menace. Two more descriptions to follow soon...
