About Me
Hi! My name is Nigel Hanlon. I'm doing CSSE here in Maynooth which is pretty cool. I live in the countryside between Sallins and Straffan.
Living in the Coutryside has its ups and downs, but I wouln't move into a housing estate if you paid me! I love the quiet, do what you want with out Neighbours commenting atmosphere.
The downside is transport. Getting anywhere requires a lift. There are so many cool places and things I could do if I could just walk home. Oh well. Sallins and Straffan are slowly expanding outwards to my house so it won't be long before I live in the town :).
Interests, Hobbies and General
Well my main interest would have to be Wireless Networks. I'm big into WarDriving (WarWalking in my case.. No car sadly) and love to spend the summer wandering around towns and estates hunting for Access Points. Last summer I actually burnt out my Orinoco Card from over use. Have to Order another card this summer :)
Music wise, I will pretty much listen to anything provided it has a message or meaning to convey. That kinda rules out most dance music, but some of it is cool. I have a passing interest in Metallica (That symbol on my hat isnt a swastika Niall.. :) and if you were to look at the track list on my Ipod you would probably say WTF..
As for films, I like Sci-fi and Action movies the best. Can't stand horror films! Freak the shit out of me.
Hardware
Well My main system is a Laptop since I can move around with it. I'm almost surgically attached to me at this stage and I kinda feel naked without it. I got it for my birthday last year (April 21st 2006 incase you were curious) and Its had so many different versions of Linux on it I have lost count. Its spec is as follows:

The Name Cyberax..
Cyberax was the name of an Artificial intelligence in an old TV show called bugs. It was "grown" by Military Command to learn and self-develop, but quickly took over. The program is able to rest unnoticed in a human subject, only being activated when that person becomes aware of Cyberax’s presence or of the program’s true nature. Once activated Cyberax destroys all evidence of it’s existence, and shuts down the brain of its host
It was a cool TV series. I have all four seasons on DVD at home. You should watch it some time!
