Astro2 are organising a trip to Edinburgh during the study week in March. The dates for this trip would be leaving Dublin the morning of March 24th(a saturday) and returning March 26th (a Monday, in Dublin for 9 am). Lectures resume on that Monday so that is something to bear in mind.

What we'll be doing there: Visiting the Royal Observaotory- getting a tour of the telescopes and their research labs. more info at: http://www.roe.ac.uk A visit to "Our Dynamic Earth" - a center with lots of cool things about earth sciences.

A visit to "Camera Obscura and World of Illusions" - lots of cool optical illusion type things, galleries of science and the art of holography and much more.

We'll be staying for two nights in the centre of Edinburgh
The cost of this trip will be €60 per person,. this will cover flights, accomodation and entrance to the 3 place listed above and also travel to the airport from Maynooth.
